ANNIVERSARY BALL.
The Caledonian Hall was comfortably filled last evening, when the anniversary ball of the {Select Old-time Dance Assembly was held. A real old-time atmosphere was in evidence from the start, and Mr Harvey Edwards, the M.C., saw that the interest never flagged. Balloons, novelties, streamers. Spotlight waltzes and competition dalioes lent variety to the evening. The four Christmas cakes were presented to the winners, and the first heat of the Christmas ham miniature Monte Carlo was decided. The Evans-Cam pbell augmented band provided the music.
