Two Sharp Earthquakes Felt in South. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, December 9. Two distinct, sharp earthquake shocks were felt this morning at 8.55. They were very close together and a rumbling noise was audible. No damage is reported. Queenstown Report. Per Press Association. QUEENSTOWN, December 9. Queenstown this morning experienced two sharp earthquake shocks at 8.50 o’clock, both very pronounced and shook buildings in the township. There was some alarm but no damage was Felt at Dunedin. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, December 9. Two distinct shocks of earthquake were felt in Dunedin about 5.55 a.m. today. The first was of very short duration and consisted of a sudden vibration accompanied by a low rumble. A few seconds later a prolonged shake, which lasted for about a quarter of a minute, commenced. The motion was not severe and was not accompanied by any sudden shocks, but the maintained shock was sufficiently strong to awaken sleepers and to cause loose fittings in houses to be disturbed
