CLINICS FOR CHILDREN.
N.Z. Doctor Studies Methods Abroad. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON. This Day. After an absence of eighteen months, ! during which she has been studying ichild welfare methods in Great Britain and the United States. Dr Marie Stringer returned by the Monowai. Dr Stringer said that all the main centres in England had clinics for children with doctors in charge, not nurses The clinics were financed b>' private subscriptions and she thought they were also subsidised to a certain extent by the Government. They were doing very fine work. In the United States an enormous amount of advanced research was being done for children, with the assistance of numerous scholarships. >
