FOUR BELLRINGERS.
Englishmen to Arrive Here To-morrow.
Four English bellringers, who are visiting New Zealand after attending the Melbourne Centenary celebrations, will arrive in Christchurch from the North Island to-morrow morning. This is the first time that such a party of bellringers have visited New Zealand. The following programme has been arranged for the visitors: Tuesday, a special reunion meeting at the Cathedral when there will be a ringing. On Wednesday the visitors will attend a social gathering at Opawa, and on Thursday there will be handbell ringing at night in the Cathedral. There will be bell ringing at the Cathedral on Friday and it has yet to be decided whether there will be a ring on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday the usual peals will be rung and the visitors will probably attempt a three-hour peal on Sunday afternoon.
The visitors will remain in Christchurch until Monday, December 17, when they will leave for Home.
