AKAROA ART UNION.
Official List of Prizewinners. The Lovely Akaroa art union was drawn at the Akaroa Borough Council Chambers last evening, when the Progress Association held a carnival dance. Messrs H. Gladstone Hill, director of Derry’s -Military Band, W. T. Redman, treasurer, and W. J. M. Gosney, secretary of the Stanmore Silver Band, were among those present. The gross takings in ticket sales for the art union were approximately £438, although the Akaroa sales were not all available, made up as follows: Derry’s MilitaryBand (£IBO 7s 3d), Stanmore Silver Band £ll2 5s 3d), Akaroa and Banks Peninsula (£145).
