PAPANUI DOMAIN.
Protest Against Cyclists Using Track. At a meeting of the Papanui Domain Board, Mr W. J. Walter presided. Leave of six months* absence was granted to the secretary, Mr R. Price, and Mr R. Kilpatrick was appointed to act as secretary in the meantime. Mr W. G. Chapman entered a strong protest against the way in which the cyclists took control of the track. The cricketers, who kept the grass cut, only had permission to use the park after their application was granted, but the cyclists assumed the right of use. After a discussion, it was decided to notify the club that no races could be held unless application was first made.
