Trotting Men to Meet. The board of the New Zealand Trotling Association met last evening; present— Messrs J. H. Williams (chairman), .1. U. .YCKenzie, J. M. Samson, S. !W. Kelly, 11. W. Kitehingham. .T. B. i Thompson and the Hon W. Hayward. The Judicial Committee of the New [Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club adi vised having held an inquiry into i alleged interference to Real Burton by i Hlvo, driven by R. A. Bebbington in the : Metropolitan Handicap. The committee I decided that on the evidence, and from jits own observations, it was of opinion the interferenec was accidental. ! The club’s action was endorsed. The Judicial Gommitte of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club adI vised also having inquired into alleged ■ interference to Real Burton by Willow j Wave, driven by O. E. Hooper in the i Riccarton Handicap on November 6. The committee, it was reported, was satisfied that interferenec took place, but owing to the conflicting nature of the evidence, no action was taken. The club’s action was endorsed. The West Australian Trotting Association advised that it was arranging a conference of all New Zealand and Ans'ralian affiliated bodies at Sydney for June 20 next. The date was endorsed, the matter of representation being held over. A cable stated that details would be forwarded later. In the names of horses registered, that of Blue Mountain Home was refused, Mountain Home being suggested The next meeting was fixed for January 18. HIS HOPE. At the meeting of the Board of the New Zealand Trotting Association last evening, a letter was received from Mr Thomas Roe. of Auckland. Mr Roe wrote: “ I was fined £1 for being late at the barrier in a trotting race at the last Auckland meeting. I heard the bell, but thought it was the last bell of the totalisator. I was a very little late, in plenty of time to get my place be- : fore the balloon went down. T have | been driving for forty vears and have ! never been fined. Hoping you will let me off this time.” The letter was received.
