Dove-grey Frock Worn by Bride. CLARKE— FORMAN. A wide circle of friends throughout < anterbury took a keen interest in the wedding, on Wednesday evening, - 1 Ihelma (Min), daughter of Mr and Mrs r rank Forman, of Lyttelton, and James, son of Mr and Mrs J. Clarke, of Beckenham. The bridegroom’s brother, Mr Jack Clarke, was best man. The ceremony took place at St David’s Church, Sydenham, the Rev L. M. Rogers officiating. The organist was Mr Sydney Hood. The bride had chosen a dove-grey frock of celanese, with a slight frilled effect of pale grey georgette at the neck. Her hat was of Bangkok straw’, in a shade to match. She carried a shower bouquet of pink roses and sweet peas. The bridesmaid was Miss Phyllis Forman, sister of the bride. Her frock was of delphinium-blue crepe Milanese, and she also w’ore a large picture hat and carried a Victorian posy of lemon azaleas and fern. The bridegroom’s mother wore a floral rayon dress and a smart tagel straw hat. She carried a posy of beige-coloured flowers. A reception was afterwards held in the Lyttelton Returned Soldiers’ Hall. Mrs Forman received her guests wearing a becoming frock of midnight-blue figured marocain and lacquer-red hat. Her bouquet was of red roses. JONES—OLLEY. An evening wedding was celebrated recently at the bride’s parents, when Sarah, only daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Olley, was married to Penerv, youngest son of Mr and Mrs J. E. Jones, of St Martins. The ceremony was performed by the Rev J. Harris. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a pretty frock of del-phinium-blue satin suede, with a cowl neckline with pouches of w’hite and a blue felt hat to tone. A sheaf of white and pink'flowers was carried. After the reremony the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by Master Cyril M’Leod. Mrs G. E. Pitt, who attended the bride as matron of honour, wore a becoming frock of lemon san crepe with a black hat. She carried a bouquet of lemon roses. The two little flowergirls were in pink and pale green sansatin frilled frocks, with silver lace mob caps trimmed with little rosebuds. Both carried pale pink posies. The bridegroom was attended by Mr W. J. M’Carey as best man.

A reception was held later. The bride’s mother received the guests wearing a frock of navy blue marocain with hat to tone. Her bouquet was of red roses.
