PATERNITY OF CHILD.
Magistrate Orders Blood Test. Press Association. AUCKLAND, This Dav. When a woman aged 24 years applied for an affiliation order against an elderly man to-day his counsel alleged that the woman's child was half Chinese. Counsel asked the woman if she was prepared to have the child undergo a blood test. She replied in the negative. The Magistrate, after seeing the child, said that it would be better to have a blood test. The mother would be entitled to have a doctor present and there should be three doctors altogether. The hearing was adjourned.
