COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.

The Selwyn Street Hall was recently the scene of a coniing-of-age party, given by Mr and Mrs J. G. Roud, Spreydon, to celebrate the coming-of-age of Miss Mavis Roud. The evening was enjoyably spent in dancing, etc. to music supplied by Bruce Estall’s Orchestra. Supper was set in gay surroundings, and after congratulatory speeches, the guest of honour was presented with the customary gold key by her father. Mr F. Stevens gave humorous recitations and Mrs C. H. Roud gave vocal items. An exhibition of tap-dancing was given by June and Doug. Shepherd. Mrs C. H Roud contributed extras and Mr C. Brine was M.C. Those present included: Mr and Mrs J. G.
