PEPPER THROWN IN EYES.
Twa Men Attacked and £20,000 Stolen. SYDNEY. November 9. While, tHov were carrying bags of money and the payroll for a local department store at Darlinghurst to-day, two "men were attacked by bandits, pepper was thrown in their eyes and a shot fired A sum of £20.000 was tolen. The bandits escaped in a waiting motor-car. The victims of the outrage were: George Oakman, aged sixty-six Nears: and Leslip Klyb. aged forty four. The former was shot in the groin. The pair were taken to hospital. They are in no danger, but are suffering intense pain from the pepper.
