WIRELESS.

Notes and News From Far and Near. (By “AERIAL.”) The world over, radio engineers have striven for perfect fidelity of tone, reliability and power. The latest models —both' broadcast and all-wave—are proof of their success. And they are proof, too, that it is possible to attain perfection and. at the same time, keep quality down to a price. Much has been said, and much has been written, on the standard of New Zealand programmes. Personally, while satisfied. Not with every programme, of course. Put with optional stations to choose from, it is always easy to find a local programme that is good. Many people are of the fixed opinion that the fields further away are the greenest. In consequence they veto New Zealand programmes in favour of those from Australia. At the same time, it is hardly fair to roundly condemn all the New Zealand offerings. * At one time New Zealanders scorned New Zealand-made products. The word “ imported ” was a magic talisman. When with the passing of time New Zealand manufacturers proved that they could hold their own on every field, New Zealanders began to sit up and take notice. Perhaps the same principle may be applied to radio programmes. At certainly given me hours of pleasure.
