SUBURBAN ASSOCIATION.

Decisions Reached by Delegates. The monthly meeting of delegates to the Suburban Cricket Association was held last evening, Mr E. King presiding over a large attendance. The Northeote Club were granted a third delegate on account of increased membership. Dates for Shield Match. The Amuri Association advised that November 21 and 22 were acceptable as the date for the Suburban Association shield match, which would be played at Waiau. The Canterbury Cricket Association advised that N. Stokes and T. Waine had been included in one of the colts’ teams in a match .at Hagley Park on Show Day. A complaint was received from the Umpires’ Association regarding the adverse criticisms made by some players in matches and it was decided to ask delegates to place the complaint before their respective clubs. The committee was instructed to obtain. a supply of badges for the use of umpires at the association matches. Donation of Shield. The Stewart’s Gully Club has donated a shield to be awarded in such manner as the association thought desirable. Mr Rogers explained that the trophy was to commemrorate the work of the late Mr C. G. Holland, who was a founder .of the Stewart's Gully Club. The offer was accepted with thanks and it was decided that the engraving should Ibe submitted to the Emergency Committee. A suggestion that the fielding side provide the ball in all competition matches was not agreed to and players are notified that the home team must provide the ball f.or the game. TTmpii'es for Next Round. The following umpires have been appointed for the next round of matches: Senior A—Shirley v. Beckenham, at Richmond (Messrs F. Hammond and H. Xevin); Marist v. W.M.C., at Wools ton (Messrs V. Agar and It. T. Day); Railway v. Sunnyside, at Suhnyf.ide (Messrs C. J. M’Lachlan and H. Yeatman). Senior B—Shirley v. Avon, at Spreydon (Messrs K. H. Bevin and J. Hopkins); St Andrew’s Old Boys v. Mairehau, at Sydenham No. 3 (Messrs J. Roberts and L. Mooar): Templeton v. Spreydon, at Templeton (Messrs K. Sim and A. Blackwood). Junior A—Merivale v. Midland, at Elmwood (Messrs J. E. Fleming and W. Iredale): Beckenham v. W.M.C., at Beckenham (Messrs C. J. Winter and C. G. Turnbull); Riccarton v. Shirley, at Richmond (Messrs A. M’Nulty and E. Black). Junior B—St Albans v. Kia Ora, at Sydenham No. 2 (Messrs C. M. Cooke and S. Jones); New Brighton v. Harewood, at New Brighton (Messrs R. and X*. Campbell). Junior C—Stewart’s Gully v. Urlwin’s, at Beckenham (Messrs E. King and A. E. Empson> : Shirley v. Railway, at Sydenham No. 0 (Messrs W. Powell and H. M. Turnbull): Oddfellows v. St Albans, at St Albans (Messrs J. Graham and D. Logan). Veterans’ Club. The Veterans’ Club will play tlie Domain Club to-morrow, at Hagley Park, at 2 p.m.
