CHRISTMAS STORIES.
Prizes for “ Christchurch Star ”• Competition. Next Saturday, November 10, is the closing date for sending in short stories for the Christmas short story compel i tion conducted again this year by the “Christchurch Times.” in conjunction with the “Christchurch Star” and “Auckland Star.” Stories should be about 2000 words in length. They must have a connection with Christmas and preference will be given to those with a New Zealand set ting. Three prizes are offered —four guineas, two guineas and one guinea.
