REPORT ASKED FOR.
Screening of Pictures at Christmas. The question of Christmas pictures will receive further consideration by the By-laws Committee of the City Council. The question was brought up by Councillor E. 11. Andrews at the meeting of the council last evening, when he asked why the By-laws Committee, after dealing with the subject, had not reported to the council. He believed that the committee’s decision was against Christmas pictures. Councillor Andrews said he understood that the matter had been considered at a meeting of the committee, when, he believed, there was a meagre attendance. He understood the decision was in the negative, and. while it might not have been thought necessary to report, as the matter had come before the council each year, yet he felt a report should have been made. Councillor Andrews then moved that the matter be reconsidered by the By-laws Committee, and that a report be furnished to the council.
The motion was carried unanimously
