Fine Imposed on Sydney Taxi Driver. SYDNEY, July 12. “T’eople don’t want to hire a bedroom.” said Mr Harrison. S.M, when, at the Traffic Court to-day, he imposed a fine of 12s 6d on William 'Henry Duffy, of Reiby Street, Newtown, for sleeping in his taxi-cab on June 26. Sergeant Davis (police prosecutor) said that there were many complaints from people who hiied cabs after the drivers had been sleeping in them all night. Some drivers worked all day, slept in their cabs at night, and did not wash.
