ANNUAL STAFF DANCE.

International Harvester Company. ATTRACTIVE DECORATIONS. A most attractive decorative scheme was carried out at the Winter Garden last evening, when one of the most enjoyable and best arranged staff dances of the year, that of the International Harvester Company of New Zealand, was held. Fringes of streamers in group combinations of deep and pale violet, green and lemon, rose and primrose, black and orange, were arranged across the room, with loops of single streamers between. Little clusters of multi-coloured balloons hung from the ceiling and between each streamer-fringed ajeove were large paper rosettes, the whole giving a particularly pleasing effect. An exhibition dance by Mr Leo Bowden and Miss Gladys Fitzsimmons was an entertaining item. Music for dancing was supplied by the Bailey-Marston Band Guests of Honour.

The guests of honour were Mr R. W. Morgan, managing director, and Mrs Morgan, Mr C. FI. Lewis, secretary of the company, and Mrs Lewis, Mrs Morgan wore a becoming frock of mahogany crepe satin, finished with a softly tied bow at the back. With this she wore a smart brown and beige tartan coatee, the cartwheel sleeves of which were closely pleated. Mrs M. Sweetland and her daughter, Miss M. Y. Sweetland, were the hostesses. Mrs Sweetland wore black geoigette relieved with a parchment lace vestee under a black seal coat. Miss Sweetland was in tobac bro\w chiffon velvet, the high neck being outlined with silver lame. Little silver buttons trimmed the cuffs of the long sleeves and also fastened the matching coatee. Members of the committee responsible for the arrangements were: Misses Muriel Cox, Laura Ellis, Gertrude Smith, Olive Robson, Una Bullock, Messrs T. L. Flawkes, C. Treeby, C. J. Robinson, K. White, L. W. Neale (honorary secretary). Miss Muriel Cox wore a frock of pale lemon lace inset with godets of frilled georgette; Miss Laura Ellis, claret wave-patterned velvet trimmed with silver buttons and touches of silver lame: Miss Gertrude Smith, black ring velvet under a rose, green and gold brocade tunic coat; Miss Olive Robson, tea-rose pink lace with off-the-shoulder yoke and draped sash of georgette; Miss Una Bullock, lobelia blue lace finished with a velvet ribbon belt and a matching coatee.
