FLOWER SHOW ARRANGED.
A special meeting of the committee of the New Brighton District High School was held last night to consider a proposal to hold a flower show. Mr A. E. Lawry was in the chair and there was a good attendance of residents. Thanks were returned to Mr C. TI. Moir for a donation of vases. After discussion it was decided that a show be held. A comparison was made between the schedules for the pa«t two years, and alterations were suggested. The entry fee for adult classes was fixed at 3d or Is for four or more entries. The following were elected a Schedule Committee:—Messrs B. W. Chadwick, J. S. Phillips, L. R. Hurreli (secretary), the chairman, and Mrs H. O. Brooks and Mrs L». R. Hurreli. The date for the show was fixed for the Saturday following the Christchurch show. The offers of Messrs Dean and Chadwick to donate prizes were accepted with thanks. Messrs F. W. Rareombe. D. S. Turner, B. Dean and G. Cattermole were appointed a Side Show Committee. A committee consisting of Messrs Turner, Larcombe and Cittermole was appointed to arrange a dance to conclude the show.
