RANGIORA ITEMS.
Mrs L. M. King presided at the monthly meeting of the Rangiora branch of the Plunket Society at which representatives of the Oxford, Cust and Waikuku branches were also present. A motion of sympathy w'as passed with the relatives of the late Mr James Stevenson. Nurse Shepherd reported that during June she had made 32 visits to homes and 270 visits had been made to the office w'hile seven new babies had come under her care. Mrs M. A. Catherw’ood was appointed delegate to the general conference to be held in Wellington next month, the remits for which, were received from headquarters and discussed. Parishioners’ Social. Parishioners of St John’s Church spent an enjoyable time on Tuesday evening when a social was held in the Parish Hall. Campetitions, music, community singing and dancing made the -time pass quickly and the gathering was a great success.
