OBITUARY.
Thomas Griffith. The death occurred to-day of Thomas Griffith, a former member of the Police Force, aged eighty-one years, at his residence, 115, Packe Street, St Albans. Mr Griffith was born in Ireland, and he served for a time with the Royal Irish Constabulary 7. On coming out to New Zealand in 1872 he joined the Police Force, and was promoted to the rank of sergeant. He served in the force until 1914, when he retired. lie leaves a widow and six sons.
