“MEET MY SISTER.”

British Farce-Comedy for Theatre Royal.

\\ hite Ensign ” will be shown finally on Friday night at the Theatre Royal.

Meet My Sister," one of the most delightful film farces imaginable, will head the new programme at the’ Theatre Royal on Saturday. This picture, a typical English comedy of the mo. ment, goes with a swing from start to finish. It is a very modern and a very daring show, and abounds in situations that appear to get more compromising, but perfectly explainable, aS the storv goes on. It is all about a penniless English nobleman, who breaks off his somewhat doubtful relations with a cabaret entertainer in order to marry an American heiress, and who returns to fiis flat to find a strange girl in his bed. And then the fun starts. Complications follow upon complications, families, real and imaginary, are dragged into the affair, and everyone thinks the worst of the other. How matters are finally squared up makes a climax that leaves the audience simmering with laughter. Clifford Mollison as a penniless and eternally sleepv nobleman, Constance Shotter as the masquerading sister, Frances Dean as an unwilling heiress-fiancee, and Fred Dufirez, as a gullible American millionaire. all combine to make the fun wax fast and furious. Jimmy Godden. remembered for his work on the local musical comedy stage, gives a delightful sketch of an unfortunate butler. Box plans at the D.I.C.
