AUCKLAND ENTERPRISE.
Tearoom Being Built at 4 Cost of £20,000. (Special to the “ Star.’') , AUCKLAND, July 17. A new tearoom with the latest features of modern architecture and equipment is at present being built at a'cost of over £20,000 on the roof of George Court’s building in Karangahape Road. The venture, apart from its optimism and faith in the future, is opportune at a time when it means so much to the community to have hundreds of skilled workers employed. When the tearooms are completed there will be a change in Auckland’s skyline, for the tall wireless masts which were part of the old equipment of IYA are to be removed. In their place will be this airy tearoom, which will afford an unsurpassed view of the city and the upper and lower reaches of the harbour.
