ENGINEERING SOCIETY.
An address illustrating the fundamental laws of streamlining was delivered last evening at Canterbury College to the Engineering Students* Society by its president. Professor P. H. Powell. The purport of Professor Powell’s lecture was the demonstration of the laws “ that blunt tails rather than blunt noses cause eddies,” and ” that the turbulent motion of liquid* I* due to their viscosity.” A. perfect liquid would maintain a streamlined flow. Mr A. R. Currie, chairman of the meeting, asked Professor S. Steele to propose the \-Ote of thanks, which was carried by acclamation.
