BASES FOR AIR ROUTES.
LONDON, July 16. The late Sir Ernest Shackleton's son Edward, with five companions, will sail to-morrow in the 107-ton sealing ship Signal Horn, to explore ' Elles-mere-land in the Arc tic, chiefly with the object of establishing bases for a future American-European air route.
