WEDDING.

Four Maids Attend Bride at Lincoln. ROBERTS—WILSON. The marriage was celebrated recently, at the Lincoln Presbyterian Church, of Kathleen Hanna, fourth daughter of Mr and Mrs W. J. Wilson, Gould’s Road, Springston, and Frederick George, only son of Mr and Mrs G. J. Roberts, Springston South. The Rev G. M'Rae performed the ceremony, and Mrs D. Kilgour was the organist. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory windswept velvet in princess style, the skirt flaring from the knees into a train. Cowl folds softened the neckline of the bodice. The sleeves were inset with a rucked panel to the elbow and fitted to the wrists with a point over the hands. Her embroidered tulle veil was held ir place with a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a trailing bouquet of freesias, Iceland poppies and chrysanthemums.

The two elder bridesmaids, Misses Gwen Roberts (sister of the bridegroom), and Molly Ferguson (Christchurch), wore frocks of tangerine matalasse. The bodices were finished with cowl necklines and off-the-shoulder puff sleeves. The skirts fitted to the knees and flared to the ground, where they were finished with a ruche of the material at the hemline. Sashes of lemon velvet were tied in bows at the back, and their petalled caps were of matching velvet. They carried bouquets of lemon Iceland poppies, chrysanthemums and jonquils. The small maids, Nanette Morris and Noeline Wilson (nieces of the bride), wore frocks of lemon lizard crepe made on similar lines to the elder bridesmaids, with tangerine, velvet sashes and Alice headbands. Their bouquets were of tangerine Iceland poppies and lemon chrysanthemums. Messrs David and Percy Wilson (brothers of the bride) were best man and groomsman respectively. As the bride left the church she was presented with a lucky horseshoe by her niece, Thelma Wilson. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Mrs Wilson received her guests wearing a black tailored suit and a black hat relieved with white. She carried a bouquet of autumn shaded abutilons. The bridegroom’s mother wore a black facecloth coat over her frock of blue crequelle crepe, with a black hat. Her bouquet was of chrysanthemums in autumn shades. When Mr and Mrs Roberts left later for the north, the bride was wearing a lido blue frock and hat and a coat of grey boucle cloth.
