Legacy for Canterbury College.

A legacy worth about £l5O a year will be received shortly by Canterbury College under the will of Mr T. W. Adams, who died at Greendale in 1919. Before his death Mr Adams made a bequest of £2OOO and an estate of 100 acres at Greendale to the college for the ! endowment of a lectureship in forestry, j the bequest to take effect after the ! payment of a life annuity to hi s widow, I Mrs Harriet Adams. Mrs Adams died ! two days ago. The estate at Greendale has now a value of about £l5O a year, although it was worth more at the time the bequest was made.
