SNUBS THE GOVERNOR.

New Premier of Ontario Does Not Want Him. VANCOUVER, June 28. Mr Mitchell Hepburn, Liberal Premier-designate of Ontario, caused a stir to-day by announcing that he “ would get along in the legislature ’ without the Lieutenant-Governor. The Liberal Party* had just won the provincial elections. Bad feeling seems to exist between Mr Hepburn, who is a poor farmer, and Dr Herbert Bruce, the millionaire Governor of Ontario. Mr Hepburn intimates that he will ask the Chief Justice of Ontario to officiate at any* necessary 'eremonies, and will have | nothing to do with the Governor, who. he suggests, might resign with great profit to the community*.
