Big Convention Being Held at Detroit. United Press Assn.—-By Electrle Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, June 25. A message from Detroit says that 10,000 delegates, representing seventy nations, gathered for the opening session of the international Rotary convention. In his presidential address Mr John Nelson declared that the organisation “ is a realm without frontiers,” which could not countenance discrimination within its borders because of racial prejudices. The Mayor, Mr Frank Couzens, gave an addres of welcome which was responded to by Mr J. M. A. Ilott, of Wellington, on behalf of the foreign delegates. The Australian and New Zealand party, consisting of sixteen persons, has established its headquarters at the Statler Hotel. They have enjoved several days’ outing on Lake Mackir.ao as well as automobile sight-seeing -tours of Detroit and the vicinity.
