The monthly meeting of the Christchurch branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the Y.AI.C.A. rooms yesterday afternoon. Mrs J. D. Hall presided over a good attendance of members. The of necessitous cases in the cauntry was discussed, and members unanimously agreed to equip a gift-box in readiness for urgent calls. Several gifts were promised at the meeting. Alembers of Ihe Christchurch branch were invited to the next executive meeting to be held on the morning of Wednesday, June 27. The exchange table was again busy.
