DIED AT MEETING.
Prominent Freemason of Oamaru. Per Press Association. OAMARU. June 13. The death occurred suddenly of Mr Adam Mackav, aged seventy years, a grocer, at a Masonic Lodge meeting. He was a highly-respected citizen of Oamaru. Born in Kilmarnock, Scotland, he arrived in New Zealand at the age of fifteen. He was a prominent Freemason, being a past-master and treasurer of Lodge Waitaki. The new Masonic temple at Oamaru was a monument to Mr Mackay’s energy and foresight. He was treasurer of the Meadowbank Bowling Club. Formerly he was the Government nominee to the Oamaru Harbour Board. *
