Exporting of Wheat.
\ MEETING of the Taranaki branch of the New Zealand Pig Breeders’ Association discussed the anomaly of New Zealand exporting wheat to a congested market, and obtaining a low' price for the grain w’hile pig breeders in the Dominion were forced to pay a high cost for the necessary cereal foods. It was decided to forward the following resolution to the Minister of Agriculture: “ That in the interest of the pig raisers of the Dominion, the Government be urged to lift the bounty at present paid on exported w'heat, and that cheaper cereals be made available to pig raisers; and that, if it is desired to pay a bounty, this could be done and the grain retained for consumption by the pig raisers in the Dominion.”
