ESTATE TO BE BOUGHT.
Small Farms for Unemployed Families. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, June 13. The Waikato Land Settlement Society has received a gift of several thousand pounds from an anonymous donor to purchase an estate of 1430 acres in the Te Awamutu district for the society’s scheme to settle unemployed families on the land. It is proposed to subdivide this estate into small farms of about 120 acres and to provide facilities for mixed farming, featuring sheep raising.
