DRAMA AND WESTERN.
“ From Headquarters ” and “ Clearing the Range.”
“ From Headquarters,” starring George Brent and Margaret Lindsay, which heads the fine double bill at the Liberty Theatre this week, is a thrilling and baffling double-murder mystery, especiallv interesting in that it discloses the intensive activities of a metropolitan city police headquarters staff in their efforts to solve a mystery and secure the arrest of the murderer George Brent, who has the lead as a young and intelligent police official, gives frequent evidence of actual experience in “ the Force,” and both in his knowledge of the work and efficiency in the application of modem scientific methods in crime detection plays his part most convincinglv. The big picture is preceded by “ Clearing the Range,” a refreshingly unusual Western.
