Matters Arising from Show
Discussed.
The Christchurch Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Club met last evening, Mr R. Pearce presiding. A motion of sympathy was passed to Mrs T. S. Temple in the loss of her husband. The president extended a welcome to Mr Carbis. a member of the Waimate Poultry Club. The secretary of the Invercargill Club forwarded a cheque for the hire of plant. The case of a disqualiVfied exhibitor competing at the recent show was dealt with. It was agreed that the club enforce its rules, and that the exhibitor be reimbursed, the decision to be left in the hands of the executive to report to the next meeting. It was pointed out that the entries were made in ignorance. Mr F. L.-Mac-Gregor donated his prize money and winning hire? in the Andalusian class to the club, to be sold for its benefit. It was decided that at future shows all local exhibitors’ birds be removed bn the closing night. The winner in the love-bird competition was Mr T. 11. Reese; in Ihe blanket rompetJtior Mr F. L. MacGregor, and in the peas competition Mr C. Forbes.
