NEW REST-HOUSE.

Plans for Erection Near Sign of Kiwi. Plans for the erection of another rest-house and refreshment room on the Port Hills have been made by Mr H. G. Ell, and part of the foundations have already been excavated. It will be some time, however, before the building is completed. The building will be situated on the rise at the back of the Sign of the Kiwi, commanding an excellent viewdown Lyttelton haibour. Of Gothic architecture, the structure will be seventy feet long and between eighteen and twenty feet wide. The design will be different from that of any other rest-house on the hills.
