Sandilands Homes.

Dear Sir, —I w’as more than pleased to see the letter in Saturday night’s “ Star ** anent .the above and the attitude of the workers on the job. I am one of the workers on the job, but unfortunately I am on the sick list at present, but I must emphatically endorse Mr J. A. Mitchell and also wish to be in with one of the 100 on the job who are quite satisfied, and I may add we have one of the best foremen on any other relief job. He knows how to tackle men, and through his geniality he gets more work out of the men than any other foreman. Now that we have got rid of all the agitators, thanks to Mr Bailey and his officers, who stuck to their guns, we are a happy family now (under the circumstances) and I am certain that the Sandilands homes will be an established fact despite the minority opposition of outsiders. May I suggest to the R.S.A. executive that they get on with the planting of the trees as soon as possible, and also not stint the numbers. I suggest three row’s all round the section.—l am, etc., 10/491.
