MAKING OF GAS OVENS.

The interest which women are now taking in local and New Zealand industries has been amply demonstrated lately in the manner in which members of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association and interested friends attend factory visits which are arranged for their benefit. Last week, through the courtesy of Mr W. H. Cattell, visits were paid on two occasions to the Osborne Gas Oven Factory. Naturally, the manufacture of a gas oven would interest women, and judging by comments, the visit was thoroughlv enjoyed, as well as being instructive and educative. A process which appealed particularly to the. visitors was the enamelling which makes such a beautiful finish. The courtesy of Air Cattell in making the visit possible and the kindness of Airs Cattell in acting as cicerone to the party was much appreciated.
