TALENTED MUSICIAN.

Notification that he has been awarded an exhibition which entitles him to three years’ study at the Royal Academy of Music, London, has been received by Mr Terence Yaughan, of Murray Place, and he will leave for England at the end of the year. Mr Vaughan, who is eighteen years old, has shown an interest in music from his early youth, and has been well-known for his gifts in this and in other directions for some time. Last year he wrote the music, arranged the orchestration, and designed the dresses and the various movements for the Canterbury College revue. lie is an old toy of the Timaru Boys’ High School.
