GREAT “BOOT DRIVE.”

Securing Footwear for Storm Troops. BERLIN, April 26. A great “ boot drive ” was opened here with enthusiasm, the object being to obtain an adequate supply of good footwear for those Storm Troopers whose means preclude their outfitting themselves. One line of attack is an appeal to the public for subscriptions, either of money or kind. Another i.: benefit cinema, stage and vaudeville performances, to which the amusement industry has responded generously. Prince August Wilhelm, now a major in the Storm Troops, in an interview, urged the public to support the campaign liberally. This drive is a continuation of the successful “ coat campaign ” of last winter, whereby all needy Storm Troopers were fitted out with heavy service overcoats.
