Decision of St Albans Burgesses. By a majority of six votes to three the St Albans Burgesses’ Association decided at its annual meeting last evening to suspend operations for twelve months. While the value of the association was stressed by Mr W Thomson, a past president, the majority of those present supported the contention of Mr G. T. Hillsdon that it was a farce to continue in view of the poor support accorded the association. The president. Mr F. J. faulting, in his annual report, referred to the fact that, although the night for holding meetings had been changed during the year in the hope of encouraging better attendances, he had to record that the attendances had speedily gon ? back.
