‘ Ceremonies at Tai Tapu and Loburn. > WHITLOW—BRADY. [ The marriage was recently celebrated at St Mary and St Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Rangiora, of Ellen Veronica, only daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Brady, Loburn, and Law--3 rence Edward, elder son of Mr and ’ Mrs E. Whitlow, Waikuku. MACARTNEY—IIEINZMANN. The wedding was celebrated recently in St Paul’s Church, Christchurch, of Reta Hope, youngest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs John Heinzmann, to James Gordon, second son of Mr and Mrs H. J. Macartney, both of Tai Tapu. The ceremony was performed bv the Rev M’Crae, of Lincoln. The bride, who was escorted by her brother-in-law, Mr Claude Shuttleworth, of Southbrook, wore a smartly tailored Norfolk suit cf royal mixture bouclette. With this she wore a plaid blouse in tones of blue and grey, and a chic blue hat, and a spray of cream orchids and maidenhair fern. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Hotel Federal, where only close relatives were entertained. The bride’s sister, Mrs H. J. Moore, Akaroa, received the guests, wearing a smart leaf-green ensemble, a green hat to match and a stonemarten fur. The bridegroom’s mother wore a frock of brown crinkle crepe, inset with lace and finished with touches of gold, and a brown hat to tone. Her spray was of autumn-tinted hothouse flowers. For travelling the bride wore a smart brown tweed ensemble and a hat to match. Mr and Mrs Macartney’s future home will be in Tai Tapu.
