COMIC OPERA SEASON.

Comic opera has for everv true lover of music a fascination all its own, because its happy admixture of sentiment and humour dispenses entirely with the tenseness pervading grand of “ T,es Cloches de Corncv/lfe,” 'by the Christchurch Operatic Society, promises to attract large audiences. The season commences at St James Theatre on Saturday. April 28, and continues until Saturday, May 5, with matinees on both Saturdays. The cast is a strong one. ite with Christchurch audiences. Miss Annas Gale is well known on the concert platform, and so are Mr James Shaw (tenor), Mr Clive Mindle (baritone) and Mr Wyn Cowlishaw.
