Dear Sir, —I would like to draw your attention to the news item appearing on the front page of your Saturday’s issue, under the title “ In the Midst of Plenty.” Although it is not specifically mentioned, there is ample internal evidence that the ideas set forth express social credit principles. There is confirmation of this evidence by statements made by Major Douplas during his stay in New Zealand. H*publicly stated on more than one occasion that powerful forces and influences wer* behind his movement in Britain. Botl. the London Chamber of Commerce and the Southampton Chamber of Commerce have published ideas similar to his own. J. M. Keynes is reported to have said recently that the future of the world lay in a choice between Karl Marx and Major Douglas, and that personally he did not like the former gentleman.—l am, etc., SIGNS OF THE TIMES.
