NEW BRIGHTON BOYS’ CLUB

The New Brighton Boys’ Club held its annual meeting recently, when a report on the year's work and a financial statement was received. It was decider? to hold a combined games evening on Thursday, April 27. The following officers were elected:—President, the Rev S. Bailey: vice-president Messrs Lawtv and Bonnington: leader. Bob Rowan: club captain, Fred Wayman; assistant captain. Arch. Wayman; junior leader. Edwin Scott; secretary and treasurer. Ted Hopkins: assistant secretary and treasurer. Arthur Hewitt. The club enjoyed a successful season last year, and it was decider? to combine with South Brighton and hold a concert in Joyiand at the end of the year, but after making all arrangements it had to be abandoned on account of it being impossible to get the theatre. The membership of the club was twenty-eight, comprising sixteen seniors and twelve juniors, the average attendance being twelve senior and* seven junior members.
