The Ro> T al Commission appointed by the Government to inquire into the administration of the departments of State concerned with Maori welfare will open its Auckland sittings on Thursday. The volume of evidence to be heard in Auckland is not ascertainable, but after the Auckland sittings it is proposed that the Commission shall sit in Whangarei, Rotorua and Gisborne.
