AN INSURANCE CASE.

Provisions of Act Need

Re-drafting

Per Press Association.

WELLINGTON, April 17. The Court of Appeal last week intimated that it desired to hear further argument in the case Tremain v. the Public Trustee, previously* argued before it on March 21. The point involved is one of the construction of the provisions of the Life Insurance Act, being whether the provisions in that Act relating to the protection of policy moneys applied on the death or bankruptcy of a person insured, or of the olicy-holder. In the course of hearing argument this morning, the Chief Justice stated that it was quite obvious that the provisions of the Act required careful revision and re-drafting with precision. Judgment was reserved.
