The danger of serious floods on the South Coast has passed with the passage south-westward into the Tasman of the cyclonic disturbance. Communication with the south coast towns has not been completely restored. but the thousands of tons of earth which blocked the Prince’s Highwav have been removed. The south coast railway service remains suspended as a result of the blockage of tunnels by landslides. Shipping proceeding to Svdney from the south has been much delayed. The Weather Bureau has issued a warning to shipping forecasting continued rough seas along the south-eastern coastline and in the Tasman Sea.
