FIRE AT METHVEN.

An alarm of fire was given in Methven early this morning, when the Volunteer Fire Brigade turned out to Dr D. S. Wallace's residence, where a motor-car parked in the garage was found ablaze. The fire was first noticed by Constable Robertson. He gave the alarm and as a result the ga, age suffereyl only minor damage. The car, which was badly gutted, was apparently the seat of the fire, although everything appeared safe when Dr Wallace put it away on Sunday evniing after returning from a late call.
