SCOTS VISIT LONDON.

England Wins Great Soccer Match. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, April 14. Thirty thousand Scots lads and lassies, wearing brilliantly-coloured tarn o’shanters and plaids, and carrying Scottish flags and mascots invaded London to witness the Anglo-Scottish Association football match, which England won by 3 goals to nil. All London seemed to be ringing to the music of pipers playing “Hey Johnny Cope , Are Ye Waukin’ Yet?” The gayest of them danced reels in Piccadilly. The Duke of York shook hands with the teams, accompanied by Sir Frederick Wall, secretary of the Association, who received a tremendous ovation on the occasion of his birthday. There were 92,983 spectators and the gate money was £20,178, a record. England’s first goal was just before the interval. The Scots kept England for a long time on the defensive in the second half, but then England broke through, scoring two goals.
