Umpires’ Match Results in a Draw. A cricket match between the Canterbury Cricket Assocaition and the Canterbury and Suburban Association umpires ended in a draw. Batting first, the Canterbury Association made 268, several men retiring. Suburban were lucky to plav out time and draw the game, with nine wickets down. Feroside Beat Eyre ton. At Swannanoa on Saturday. Fernside, by beating Ey reton by 29 runs, won the North Canterbury Cricket Association’s junior A competition. Fernside scored 119 and 75 (L. Carpenter 36. J. Smith 17). Ey reton made 337 (R. Ben-, net 87, Alf Cherry 21. W. Martin 12); and 28. Rowling for Ey reton, G. Cherry took five wickets for 22 runs, W. Mar-; tin two for 9 and It. Bennett three for 21. For Fernside, in the first innings! J. Smith took six for 38. P. I.ill one for 4. L. Carpenter one for 3 2 and J. M’Ken-i zie one for 40. In the second, g. Min-; chington took six for 6 amf J. Smith' four for 33.
